Jose Chameleone












Joseph Mayanja popularly known as Jose Chameleone or Chameleone is Ugandan Afrobeat and reggae musician. He is one of the most popular Ugandan musicians of the 21st century. Chameleone sings in Luganda, English and Swahili.

Chameleone was born on 1st January 1979 in Uganda. He began his career in the early 1990s as a DJ at the Maganjo Mizuri night club in Kampala while studying at the Progressive Secondary School.
He realesed his first album, Bageya, in 2000 and since then he had realeased twelve more albums, including Mama Mia in 2001, Njo Karibu and The Golden Voice in 2003, Mambo Bado in 2004, Kipepeo in 2005, Shida za dunia in 2006, Sivyo ndivyo and Katupakase in 2007, Bayuda in 2009, Vumilia in 2010, Valu Valu in 2012 and Badilisha in 2013.

Chameleone is married to Daniella Atim; and the couple have 4 children, Abba Marcus Mayanja, Alfa Mayanja, Alba Shyne Mayanja and Amma Christian Mayanja. He has another child called Ayla Mayanja Onsea whom he had with his Ex Belgian wife Dorotia.

Chameleone has won numerous awards including Artiste of the Year, Best made Artist, Best Contemporary Artist and Song of the year (Mama Mia) Pearl of Africa Music Awards (PAM Awards) in 2003; Artiste of the Year and Song of the Year (Jamila) Pearl of Africa Music Awards (PAM Awards) 2004; Best East African Album (Bei Kali) Tanzania Music Awards 2004; Best East African Album (Jamila) Tanzania Music Awards 2005; Best Afro Beat Artiste/Group and Best Afro Beat Single (Kipepeo) Pearl of Africa Music Awards 2005; Best Afro Beat Artiste/Group Pearl of Africa Music Awards 2006; Best Ugandan Song (Mama Rhoda) and Best Ugandan Music Video (Mama Rhoda) Kisima Music Awards 2006; Best Ugandan Song (Sivyo Ndivyo with Professor Jay, Kisima Music Awards 2007 and Artiste of the year Ugandan Radio Dotcom Music Awards 2011.

Chameleone is a member of the Musician's Community, a Coalition of musicians who use their fame and fortune to help eradicate poverty and create awareness campaigns for HIV/AIDS.

Wahu Kagwi





Wahu Kagwi popularly known as Wahu is a Kenyan musician and a former model. She attended University of Nairobi in Kenya and graduated in mathematics. She started her musical career in 2000. Her first three singles were "Niangalie", "Esha" and "Liar".

Wahu is married to David Mathenge popularly known by his stage name Nameless, another award winning Kenyan musician and they have two children. She dedicated her biggest hit to date "Sweet Love" to her daughter Tumiso. 

Wahu has won several awards including Best Female MTV Africa Music Awards in 2008, Best Female Artist Kenya Pearl of Africa Music Awards 2008, Favourite Female Artiste CHAT Awards 2008, Best Song "Sweet Love" and Best Reggae Artiste/Group Kisima Awards 2008 and Best Reggae Song 'Leo (Reggae remix)' with Ambwene Yesaya (AY).
