Joke Silva









Joke Silva is a Nigerian actress, director and the wife of Nollywood veteran actor Olu Jacobs. She was born on the 29th September, 1961 in Lagos Nigeria, into a family of 4 children. She had her primary and tertiary education in Lagos, Nigeria. She attended Holy Child College in Lagos, and she is a graduate of English Language studies at the prestigious University of Lagos. She then relocated to England to study drama at Webber Douglas Academy of Dramatic Arts in London. 

Joke Silva has appeared in many movies and soap operas, the most popular among these are secrete laughter of women, letters to a stranger, 30 days, the amazing grace and white waters. 

Joke Silva has received several awards and nominations for her work as an actress including the awards for Best Actress in a Leading Role at the African Academy Awards in 2006; and Best Actress in a supporting Role at the African Movie Academy Awards in 2008.

Joke Silva is married to veteran Nollywood actor Olu Jacobs and they have 2 children (boys).
