Abedi Pele








Abedi Ayew known professionally as Abedi Pele is a former Ghana International football player and captain. He was given the nickname "Pele" in recognition of his superior ability that evoked comparisons to Brazilian footballer Pele.

Abedi Pele was born on 5 November 1964, in the town of Kibi and grew up in the town of Dome at the northern outskirts of the city Accra.

Abedi Pele is the brother of Kwame and Sola Ayew (ex-hearts of Oak and Black Meteors).

Abedi Pele is married to Maha Ayew and is the father of four children, Andre, Jordan, Rahim and Imani.

Two of his children, Andre and Rahim represented Ghana in the FIFA 2010 World Cup held in South Africa.
