Didier Yves Drogba Tebily popularly known as Didier Drogba is an Ivorian footballer. Didier Drogba was born on 11th March 1978 in Abidjan, Cote d'Ivoire. He has two younger brothers who are also footballers, Joel and Freddy Drogba.
Drogba is the captain and all-time top scorer of the Cote d'Ivoire national football team.
Drogba is married to Lalla Diakite, a Malian woman whom he met in Paris, and the couple have three children together. His eldest son, Isaac was born in France in 1999.
On 24th January 2007 Drogba was appointed by the Nations Development Programme (UNDP) as a Goodwill Ambassador.In late 2009, Drogba announce he would be donating the £3 million signing on fee for his endorsement of Pepsi for the construction of a hospital in his hometown of Abidjan.
In September 2011, Drogba joined the Truth, Reconciliation and Dialogue Commission as a representative to help return peace to his home nation. Didier Drogba is the founder of a charity called Didier Drogba Foundation. The main goal of the Didier Drogba Foundation is to provide financial and material support in health and education to the African people.
