Beyonce Giselle Knowles - Carter popularly known as Beyonce is an American singer, songwriter and actress. She was born on September 4, 1981 in Houston, Texas. She is the daughter of Mathew Knowles, a Xerox sales manager and Tina Knowles, a hairdresser and salon owner. Beyonce has one younger sister, Solange Knowles, who is also a singer, songwriter and actress.

Beyonce is married to Jay-z and the couple has a daughter Blue Ivy Carter.
