Sidney Onoriode Esiri known commonly as Dr. SID is a Nigerian singer-songwriter and Dentist, who is originally from Delta State, but was raised in Lagos. Dr. SID was born on May 1, 1980 in Ikeja, Lagos State, Nigeria.
His mother a successful fashion designer and his father was the legendary actor Justus Esiri. Dr. SID is the second child of 4 children. He attended Nigerian Air force secondary school, Ikeja and The University of Ibadan (UI) where he studied Dental Surgery.
Dr. SID also worked at various dental clinics combining Dentistry and music. In 2007, Dr. SID made the tough decision to quit practicing as a dentist and concentrate fully on his music career signing on to Don Jazzy's Mo'Hits Records.
